What other blood tests are performed?

Besides testing for allergies, blood work is also requested for patients with recurrent, persistent or severe infections. In such patients Dr. Otero or Kristin will request a comprehensive evaluation of the immune system pertinent to each patients condition.

Also in patients that present with Urticaria (hives) or Angioedema (swelling) that last over six weeks, if no obvious trigger by history Dr. Otero or Kristin may request lab work.
